A Recipe Worth Making This Weekend

Sep 27, 2026
The most powerful tools for longevity are often the ones hiding in plain sight. Raw cacao nibs are a good example of something most people already know about, used for reasons they may not have considered yet.
If you have been looking for a way to get raw cacao nibs into your daily routine without having to think too hard about it, this is the recipe. It takes about five minutes to put together the night before, it keeps beautifully in the fridge, and it tastes genuinely indulgent while delivering a serious amount of nutrition before your day has even started.
The cacao nibs add a deep, rich chocolate crunch that makes this feel like far more of a treat than it actually is. Combined with banana, raw honey, and almond milk, the bitterness of the nibs balances out beautifully into something that feels almost like dessert for breakfast. Almost.
Raw Cacao Nib and Banana Overnight Oats
What you need (serves one):
- Half a cup of rolled oats
- Three quarters of a cup of unsweetened almond milk or oat milk
- 1 tablespoon of raw cacao nibs, plus a little extra to finish
- 1 ripe banana, half mashed into the oats and half sliced for the top
- 1 teaspoon of raw honey (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
- A small pinch of sea salt
- Optional: a teaspoon of almond butter stirred through before serving
How to make it:
In a jar or bowl, mash half the banana until smooth. Add the oats, almond milk, chia seeds, cinnamon, raw honey, and sea salt and stir everything together well. Stir in the tablespoon of cacao nibs. Cover and place in the fridge overnight, or for a minimum of four hours. In the morning, give it a good stir and add a splash more milk if you prefer a looser texture. Top with the sliced banana, a few extra cacao nibs for crunch, and the almond butter if you are using it.
Eat straight from the jar or transfer to a bowl. It keeps in the fridge for up to two days, so you can make two portions at once and have breakfast ready for tomorrow as well.
We hope you enjoy it.
Sincerely,
Alf and Gillian
